President
Hi all! My name is Shayla Paige and I am a passionate Student Pilot and Intervention Teacher, residing in Long Beach, CA. I aspire to inspire women at every stage of their aviation journey—whether they are embarking on this path like myself or are seasoned aviators. I aim to encourage and support their aviation interests, fostering a community that celebrates and empowers women in this field.
Outside of aviation I enjoy yoga, the beach, laughter, and eating my version of healthy/ clean.

Hello I’m Sonia. I am a SkyWest first officer flying the ERJ 175 based out of LAX. I fell in love with aviation while working as a flight attendant. I never imagined I could be a pilot until I worked with two female pilots on a trip that inspired me to take flight. My goal is to become a major airline captain. I hope to inspire future aviators to follow their dream as my aviation community has done for me. My advice for future aviators is to work hard, give it your all, and never let anyone turn your sky into a ceiling!

Hi, my name is Ashley! I am an instrument-rated pilot and have been flying for three years. When I’m not in the air, I stay busy as a project manager and entrepreneur, but flying is my passion! I love finding time to take to the skies! I’m excited about the opportunity to serve on the board and help inspire more women and girls to explore the incredible world of aviation!

Hi, my name is Yihua but everyone calls me Eva. I am a private pilot with instrument rating working on my commercial certificate. I am the first generation pilot in my family. When I was young, my parents always brought me on their business trips and I started flying as a passenger since I was 3. I’ve always dreamed to be the one behind the yoke and here I am. My goal is to help people especially girls who have a dream in aviation to let them know that they can do it too!

Hi, I’m Liraz Bershadsky. I’m 25 years old and originally from Israel. I moved to the United States four years ago to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut—a dream I’ve had since I was 8.
I’m a flight instructor and a corporate jet pilot, flying the Falcon 900/50EX and King Air 200. Aviation and space have always been my greatest passions, and I’m constantly working toward achieving my dream of going to space one day.
I enjoy working out at the beach and baking in my free time. I’m excited to be the new Event Co-Chair for the WAI Greater Los Angeles Area Chapter and can’t wait to contribute to this fantastic community.

Hi, I'm April from LA. I recently joined Women in Aviation to connect with and learn from fellow female pilots. I graduated from UCLA and grew up on the westside of Los Angeles. I’m passionate about skateboarding, photography, and spending time at my favorite spot—Venice Beach. My dream is to become an airline pilot and fly internationally, exploring the world from the sky.
